Privacy & Security at Wealthy Mind Academy

Within this Cookie Policy we would like to inform you about the use of Cookies or similar storage technologies (hereinafter collectively referred to as 'Cookies') on our website. In particular, you will also be shown how you can set which Cookies you want to allow and how you can protect your privacy yourself.

What are Cookies?

Cookies are not delicious biscuits, but small text files that are stored on your computer, tablet, smartphone or other end device, as well as in your browser. The next time you visit our website with the same terminal device, the information stored in Cookies is subsequently sent back either to our website ('First Party Cookie') or to another website to which the cookie belongs ('Third Party Cookie'). Cookies are used by Wealthy Mind Academy to provide a more user-friendly, effective and secure service. Cookies also allow Wealthy Mind Academy to identify the browser used and to make certain offers to the user. A further distinction is made between Session Cookies, which are temporary Cookies that are active during browsing and are deleted after closing your browser, and Persistent Cookies, which are stored in your browser until you delete them yourself or until your browser deletes them due to predefined settings. Most Cookies also have a unique identifier, a so-called 'Cookie-ID'. This allows websites to be assigned to the specific internet browser in which the Cookie was stored, whereby the identification of a certain person is usually only possible with certain third-party tools.

You have the option, at any time, to reject the activation of specific Cookies by selecting the corresponding option in the browser settings or in the Cookie Settings.

Consent to the use of Cookies and to the transfer to third countries (e.g., USA)

Cookies that are not absolutely necessary to provide you with the services on our website (so-called 'Necessary Cookies') are only used upon your consent. In some cases, such 'Optional Cookies' are also operated by entities that process data in third countries, in particular in the USA (e.g., Google Ireland Ltd. through its data processor Google LLC). By agreeing to the use of Cookies from such providers, you also expressly consent to the transfer of your data to third countries, such as the USA (pursuant to Art 49 (1) lit a GDPR).

Your consent also allows us to transfer certain data to our partners for processing in countries outside the EU, such as the USA (e.g., Google Analytics). There is no adequacy decision by the EU Commission for the USA and despite extensive measures, the high level of EU data protection in the USA cannot be guaranteed. There are risks that transmitted data may not be deleted or further processed for any purpose, that there may be disproportionate access to your data by US authorities or that you may not be able to effectively enforce your rights in the US. However, you are welcome to withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. However, rejecting some of these cookies may affect your user experience.

What types of Cookies are there?

In order to better understand why Cookies are so important, we will give you a brief overview of what types of Cookies there are:

  • Necessary Cookies: help with basic navigation on our website and the display of certain functions. Without these types of Cookies, the core functionality and security of our website is not given. Therefore, no consent is required for such Necessary Cookies (Art 6 para 1 lit f GDPR). For this reason, Necessary Cookies cannot be individually deactivated or activated. However, you have the option to generally deactivate cookies in your browser at any time (see Section 5.). Necessary Cookies are provided by us or by third parties whose services are implemented by us on our website. Necessary Cookies are used, for example, to ensure that you remain logged in as a registered user when accessing different subpages of our website and therefore do not have to re-enter your login details each time you access a new subpage.
  • Advertisement Cookies: are used to provide website visitors with relevant advertising and marketing campaigns. These Cookies record the pages a user visits on different websites and collect information to deliver tailored advertising. They help us to use information collected on the website for the best possible user experience and also for additional marketing purposes. Most Advertisement Cookies come from external advertising companies (Third Party Cookies) and are Persistent Cookies. As a result, this type of Cookie is also called a 'Targeting Cookie'. The second type of Cookies that fall into this category are used for performance purposes, as they generally make the website more pleasant to use and improve marketing messages. There are also ways to share content with a community, such as blog posts or interact between a website and a social media channel. These cookies are known as 'Interaction Cookies'. If we process personal data in the context of Advertisement Cookies, we may only do so on the basis of your consent (Art 6 (1) (a) GDPR) and only as long as you have not deactivated the respective performance cookie; you can do this at any time with effect for the future (see point 5.).
  • Functional Cookies: enable our website to store information you have already provided (e.g., language selection) and to offer you improved and more personalized functions based on such information. These Cookies collect and store mostly anonymous information so that they cannot track your behavior on other websites. If we should process personal data, we may do so either because of our legitimate interest in operating a functional website (Art 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or because of your consent (Art 6 (1) (a) GDPR), but only as long as you have not deactivated the respective Functional Cookie; you can do this at any time with effect for the future (see point 5.).
  • Performance Cookies: are used to understand and analyze key website metrics, which helps to provide a better user experience for visitors. Amongst others, we record the number of hits, the time spent on our website, the number of sub-pages accessed, the order of pages visited, which search terms led you to us, the location from which access is made, and the proportion of mobile devices accessing our websites. We also record movements, mouse clicks and scrolling behavior in order to understand which areas of our website are of particular interest to you. If we process personal data within the scope of these Cookies, we may only do so on the basis of your consent (Art 6 (1) (a) GDPR) and only as long as you have not deactivated the respective Performance Cookie; you can do this at any time with effect for the future (see point 5.).

Wealthy Mind Academy uses such log data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of the operation, security and optimization of the website. However, the provider reserves the right to check the log data retrospectively if there is a justified suspicion of unlawful use due to concrete indications.

Placed Cookies

This website uses Cookies to improve your user experience while browsing our website. Some Cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of the website, others are optional and are, for example, sent to our partners for marketing purposes. These partners may combine your information with data that you have provided to them or that they have collected as part of other services.

Your consent also allows us to transfer certain data to our partners for processing in countries outside the EU, such as the USA in particular (e.g., Google Analytics). The tracking tool Google Analytics is operated and offered by Google LLC ('Google'), 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA. There is no adequacy decision by the EU Commission for the USA and, despite extensive measures, the high EU level of data protection in the USA cannot be guaranteed. There are risks that transmitted data may not be deleted or further processed for any purpose, there may be disproportionate access to your data by US authorities and you may not be able to effectively enforce your rights in the US. However, you are welcome to revoke your consent with effect for the future at any time (see point 5.). However, rejecting some of these Cookies may affect your user experience.

Mobile App

When you use our mobile app, we may record information that is unique to you and associated with your device (e.g., IP address, browser type, device type, device identification number), your activities within the app and your network location. This is usually done through third-party SDKs that are integrated into the source code of our mobile app. This information is used to evaluate and improve the performance and usability of the mobile app.

Legal basis for Cookies

When you visit our website for the first time, we will show you a pop-up with a short explanation and information about the Cookies we use. You can decide which Cookies we may use by selecting the option on the banner. In order to ensure greater transparency, we divide the Cookies into the aforementioned groups for the selection option. The use of the Cookies selected by you is based on Art 6 para 1 lit a GDPR, namely your consent if they track your behavior. You can revoke this consent with effect for the future at any time and without reasons (see point 5.). Depending on the Cookies selected, they may also transmit personal data to third countries. These are countries with a lower level of data protection than the EU/EEA, such as the USA. If this is the case, we will inform you of this risk before obtaining your express consent. The transfer of personal data to a third country will then take place on the basis of your express consent pursuant to Art 49 (1) lit a GDPR. You can also revoke this consent with effect for the future at any time without giving reasons (see point 5.).
